DBeaver tips: bigger toolbar icons and the TimeZone error fix
Two handy dbeaver.ini tweaks: scale up tiny toolbar icons on high-DPI displays with swt.autoScale, and fix the invalid value for parameter TimeZone Asia/Saigon error when connecting to PostgreSQL.

A collection of useful configurations and fixes for DBeaver, the database management
tool. Both tips only need an edit to dbeaver.ini: scale up the toolbar icons when they
are too small on a high-DPI display, and fix the
invalid value for parameter "TimeZone" error when connecting to PostgreSQL.
dbeaver.ini lives in the DBeaver installation directory. After every edit, save the
file and restart DBeaver for the change to take effect.
Increase the toolbar icon size
If the toolbar icons are too small (common on high-DPI displays), you can scale them up.

Steps
Step 1 - locate the dbeaver.ini file in the DBeaver installation directory.
Step 2 - add these parameters at the end of the file:
-Dswt.enable.autoScale=true
-Dswt.autoScale=200
-Dswt.autoScale.method=nearestStep 3 - save the file and restart DBeaver.
Adjust the scale
Change the icon size by editing the value of -Dswt.autoScale:

Fix the invalid TimeZone error
Error message
FATAL: invalid value for parameter "TimeZone": "Asia/Saigon"This error shows up when connecting to PostgreSQL because Asia/Saigon is not a valid
timezone identifier.
Solution
Add the following line to dbeaver.ini, after the -vmargs line:
-Duser.timezone=Asia/Ho_Chi_MinhThis sets the correct timezone (Asia/Ho_Chi_Minh is the valid IANA timezone for
Vietnam) and resolves the PostgreSQL connection error.
